Originally built in 1874, The Fairview ushered in an era of popular Brant Rock Inns attracting South Shore and Boston-area families for long summer respites by the sea and leisurely year-round dining. Yet many flourishing New England inns began to decline in popularity by the 1930’s.
Now, the tide has turned again with a resurgence of elegant inns dotting the New England coast from Maine to Massachusetts. Lovingly restored to its Victorian past, the Fairview is a prime example of the public's growing appreciation of the ambiance and service found only at a great inn.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industries, restoring the Fairview and remaking it into one of the area's most exceptional inns and restaurants is the culmination of our careers. We believe that the attention paid to the architectural detail and interior design truly captures the unique charm and beauty of the original Fairview.
The Inn features seven rooms with expansive ocean views, many with open balconies, all furnished in different Nantucket design schemes. However, the spectacular ocean view is only the beginning of what you will find at the Fairview.
The restaurant offers a "from-scratch" American menu including fresh seafood and daily specials prepared by our chef. The large deck overlooking the ocean is a wonderful place for lunch, late afternoon appetizers and drinks or a romantic dinner under the summer sky. The bar and lounge, with its two-sided wood-burning fireplace, provides a cozy atmosphere on cold winter nights.
